Amazing laptop for the price, September 8, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Toshiba Satellite L655D-S5067 LED TruBrite 15.6-Inch Laptop (Black) (Personal Computers) I'm gonna try and fix this up a bit.
I am a full-time college student, part-time gamer and part-time essayist. For what it is, for my budget of $650, this is the best I could do - seriously.
This is probably the best /new/ laptop one could buy with such an excellent dedicated graphics card and processor. The speeds are uncanny (for the price), the graphics are fantastic (for the price; playing Mass Effect 2 on all high settings with no visible video lag is unexpected but greatly appreciated) and the finish and track pad and both of good quality.
My only complaints are:
- Bloatware; Toshiba's got this thing packed with crap you'll never use.
- The battery is fairly bad, even on low screen brightness, it'll top out at 4 hours of life. - Update; it maxes out at 3 hours. It's quite the bother, but luckily I either bring my charger or simply never have it on for over 3 hours outside of my dorm often.

I'm using it mostly for web access. I'm not a gamer so I can't tell you anything about it's capabilities there. It's fast and looks sleek. Sound quality is wonderful. Set up was a breeze, basically turn it on. I was able to figure out most functions just by clicking around. I'm very happy I chose this computer to purchase. I'm not a tech savy person so I can't give details on nerdy performance stuff. If you're looking for a user friendly laptop for basic stuff, this one is more than capable.

The PROS:
Nice HD screen It gives sharp very sharp images
Full size Keyboard
Nice Graphics half GB!
Nice RAM great for multitasking, You could play games with the msn messenger open at the same time and listening music without any delay.
Lightweight and cool design
HDMI port (I LOVE IT!)
Nice sound
Eco Smart Settings (I don't use It but someone must find It usefull)
The Badies:
It has only 2 USB ports
It gets a little hot when you're gaming at high settings (In non-gaming situations works just great)
The battery... It's very small and last like 3 hours, besides I'm concern about not being able to upgrade It.
